Hello all of autopia. Ive heard good things about this forum so i decided to join in :hifive: .

I am new to the world of detailing. If someone could give me some advice one some detailing products it would be appreciated. I have the following products and i would like to know what i would need to add to have a good multi step detail.

1.) Turtle wax platinum high gloss wax

2.) Turtle wax 100% carnuba wax

3.) Meguiars gold class (bought a couple years ago)

    4.) Mothers car cleaner wax

    5.) Meguiars step 2 polish

    6.) Mothers spray detailer

    7.) Zymol cleaner wax

    8.)microfiber towels

    9.) cloth walmart applicators

So im wondering which products would go well together for a spring cleaning after rough salty winter. Thanks

    Welcome Aboard,

You have just about everything you need. Get some car wash, clay bar, and you should be good to go.

    I would go:

    Wash

    Clay

    Rinse

    Polish

TW Plat or Meg`s Gold Class

    or

    Wash

    Clay

    Rinse

    Zymol Cleaner Wax

Then a couple of weeks later put the TW plat or Meg`s Gold Class for maybe a different look.

Glaze before a wax and instead of a polish if you want. Sealant before wax.

Excellent, im now starting to know the standard detailing procedure:

    1.)Wash

    2.)Clay

    3.)rinse

    4.)Polish or Glaze

    5.)Seal

    6.)Wax

Is this right? Now what products do you recommend for steps 4 and 5? I have no OB so everything is gonna be done by hand. Ive read good things about the klasse twins...any other products? THanks

Yes. Step 4 product(s) would be determined as to the defects you want to remove or hide.

Step 4: Menzerna, Werkstatt, 1Z, Klasse, FK1, ClearKote

Step 5: Menzerna, Klasse, Werkstatt, FK1

You really need to get some products and make your own decision. There are tons of great products out there.

Sounds like i do need to try out some products. Ive been reading (and seeing via images) good thinngs about of clearkote. I really dont want to dump a lot of money into trying all different products....maybe ill try poorboys first since its cheap.

Well here are pics of todays work: wash, then waxed with megs gold class. On top a nice coat of TW platinum ultra gloss. I guess it turned out alright. Ive got a bunch of clearcoat scratches from using dirty terry towels instead of clean microfiber. Take a look

The paint has a very nice reflective shine to it but its not deep or as wet looking as id like.

Here are a couple of the car:
