dayum! That thing has some sick red flake in it. Nice work man. What products were used and how long did that take you?
After years of trial and error I still resort back to 3M products.
1) 3M 1000 grit wet/dry
2) 3M heavy duty compound
3) 3M 1200 grit wet/dry
4) 3M Perfct It Rubbing compound (1)
5) 3M Finesse It II polish
6) Turtle Wax Ice (don`t hate it-works great in some uses)
7) P21S Carnauba wax
I use only a rotary buffer with lots or experience. I`ve been told that I just have that touch/feel for using one.
I only wet sanded/buffed the top deck, wax the entire boat, and vacuumed. Just washed the trailer as it was in bad shape.
It took me about 7 hours.
well rotary is the only way to go when working on gel coats. I would never even think to attempt doing a boat with a PC or something like that.
So you had to wet sand . . . . . the boat came out great. Smooth work.
