I would use some type of sealant anyways, wax is too time consuming!

Optiseal is excellant if the finish is clean and free of oxidation and water spots.

But sealants probably won`t last as long as Collinite. Plus, most sealants need a base coat like an AIO. Never detailed a boat, but I`d go for Collinite 476S or equivalent.
I do all my boats in the water, because they are bigger 40ft and up.
It can really suck if you have to buff, but if you have to wax only it is doable and really not that bad.
I would suggest a liquid wax/polish for the hull sides, paste would "SUCK"
Meguries flag ship is easy to work with or Star Bright Premium w/teflon
lay it down with a porter cable D/A and a foam pad. It will should take around 3 hours per side for that size boat.
For the topsides like has allready been suggested the colinite # 885 or 476
I would over estimate what ever time you think it will take you, by the time you do all the stuff inside the helm area and all the waterways in the deck, as well as all the larger surfaces it will eat up a lot of time.
Or If you don`t know how long don`t be afraid to ask for $20.00 or $25.00 a foot for the job.
FK has a Marine line that could be helpful. Their Automotive line has many attractive and proven products.
Good driving and good listening!!
I believe that Collinite 925 is the Marine repackaged version of 845 and 885 the Marine repackaged version of 476s.
Sealants are polymers linked together., They will last as long as a wax. A acrylic will last as long. You need to make sure your surface is clean and free of oxidation

Hey guys, I was wondering how long, and how many times per year you have to polish your boat(s) with the Collinite stuff....I personally have never heard of it. The only polishes/waxes I know of are: 3M, Zaino, Leverage. Those are the first 3 to come to mind. I`m more familiar with the last one though.
Collinite has a paint cleaner but it`s known more for it`s wax. You polish when it needs it and wax when it needs it. Time will vary based on conditions and location. At a minimum someone would wax in the beginning of the season and then again at the end.
Honestly, I wouldn`t use a wax. I would use what Sea Ray recommends, which is Yacht Brite Pro Polish. This binds with the surface, as opposed to coating the surface to protect it.
