    Hey guys,

I did my first boat this last weekend! It was for a friend of mine and he was a tremendous help! I pretty much polished and waxed. He followed behind me and removed the polish as well as the interior of the boat. Got there at 9AM....opened out first beer around 11ish....finished the boat around 5ish....more beer, dinner and cards......left around midnight!! All in all it was a great day!! I was pretty whooped by the time I got home though.

I didn`t know what to expect with the gelcoat. I used my FLEX with CCS pads and, if I end up doing more boats I will either go with wool pads for the FLEX or get a rotary. I think it would have made a big difference in the boat...both in appearance and time spent.

I also scheduled the truck in the upper left hand corner of pic #4 for the second weekend in June (first available weekend)!! WOOHOO!!! Gotta love mobile details!!

    Process:

    Wipe down w/APC

    Polish:

    OC w/yellow ccs

    KAIO w/white ccs

    Topped w/Megs GC

Interior vinyl was cleaned w/Magic Erasers. (We treid APC but it wasnt bringing any of the dirt up)

    Dressing used was DP Protectant

Glass was polished w/KAIO and topped w/OS

A little scrub on that teak with powdered Cascade and water and you will have a perfect job!! Well done -- really brought the red out of the gelcoat.

Yes, sure looks like teak to me. And the floor plank on the inside on the boat.
