How would you know if you went thru your vehicle`s clear-coat?
How would you know if you went thru your vehicle`s clear-coat?
It turns into kind of a cloudy color. Post a picture.
A CARS clear coat? You posted in the Marine section. Itll turn cloudy, post a picture.
In regards to that question I noticed on my driver and passenger doors there is some blotchy marks if I look at it from a different angle it looks cloudy but up close it seems to be normal could I have went thru the clear-coat? I used a PC 7424 with a orange on pad on speed 5 & 6 and some Adams swirl&haze remover that`s about it.
around the sunlight you can see what looks like I guess micro-marring correct me if I`m wrong. Also is it true that when paint shows on the pad you gone thru the CC?
why is this in the marine section?
I dont see it. ITs swirled and micro-marred, but I dont see where the clear is removed.
If it was on a flat spot, it would look "feather-edged"
On an edge, its dead obvious.
Not true in the case of a single stage paint.
If you burnt through a multi-stage paint with a polisher, there would be no color, you would burn right through it and see primer....
You aren`t through the clear coat. You just have lots of work yet.
I seriously doubt you could get through the clear coat with an orange pad and a PC without trying to on purpose. It`s not like you are using a rotary.
Might try giving the folks at Adam`s a yell.
Good driving and good listening!!
