Until the picture of the T-Bird with your house in the background I always thought your new garage was detached. The fact that you can just step out of your house in the morning in your pajamas and start detailing makes your garage that much sweeter.

LOL! Yeah, it`s definitely easier then it was at my old place.

The house itself still needs to have all the windows put in and siding redone to match the new garage. I`m burnt out though and would rather just pay someone to do that task. :/

ALWAYS impressed with your work Rasky, not to mention more photos of your work area (AKA garage) . One photo shows a reflection of what looks like a ScanGrip LED work light; is that correct?? (Couldn`t help but notice)
Also, did you do anything special to the convertible soft top?

Meant to like your reply, not thank. Oh well

You will have to post the updates to the home when completed.

If/when you ever sell your house you will make some gearhead really happy.

    Thank you! Yes, ScanGrip Multimatch.

Nothing special, just a light scrub during wash and a lint roll prior to delivery.

Definitely! The windows and siding are going to be a big project though. My wife hit auctions and outlet stores to find new Pella architect series wood windows and saved a ton of money. She got windows for the whole house for around $2000 and Pella quoted us over $20,000, not including installation. Our big picture window alone was $8000+ and she got it at auction for $340!

Only downside is the windows she bought are slightly different in size so each one has to have the opening re-framed and some are already stained, so that had to be stripped. Plus the brick has to come down and who knows what issues we`ll find when we tear off the old siding....

Wife says we are NEVER moving! LOL!

My parents put in a Pella sliding door 15 years ago. I helped the handyman put it in. That door/glass is very high quality. Their accompanying sliding Pella screen door is the nicest I`ve ever opened. Still looks/works like new. I`m sure your windows will look great once reframed and trimmed.

All the other windows in my parents house are Anderson windows, 45 years old and the only thing wrong with them is the paint on the outer aluminum trim is faded off. No moisture or other noticeable wear.

Your wife deserves some award for saving that much money. Free car washes and details for the next 55 years

Re: Rasky's Auto Detailing - High-End Auto Detailing and Premier Coating Installer, Minnesota Metro Area

I know I`ve been kind of MIA lately, been super busy now that I started doing PPF too. Anyway, thought I`d share some update pics of the man cave as it`s getting close to complete now. I ended up having the floor professionally redone as the epoxy my wife and I applied ended up flaking due to the primer being applied too thick in a few areas. On top of that it was marring too easily and was very slippery when wet. The new coating is polyaspartic with full broadcast chips, including "blue-glow" for a little fun.

My cabinets finally arrived too and really about the only I have left in the main garage is the trim, service room door, and to get the water hooked up and pressure washer wall mounted.

It`s hard to capture in pics how it looks in person, very happy with it though

Wife and her cousin being silly.

I was wondering where you had been.

Looking forward to seeing some cool write-ups on some of your PPF installs.

    That floor is cool.
