Hello all, I am currently an owner of a jet black 325xi BMW that was in great condition b4 dropping it off for warranty work and then having the idiots at the dealership wash it and completely DESTROY the paint job with scratches, swirl marks and scuffs.

best part is they do not want to pay for it, but I will as it needs a facelift ASAP

Please post a response Here or PM me if you can help

PS I included a few pics to show you guys how BAD it currently is..

Post up some pics after it`s all fixed up, then never go to that dealership again.

Well he is Booked I guess

So does anyone know of another trust worthy detailer in my area?

The dealer offered to "fix" it , but i am sure it would be a quick fill and glaze special.

I just hate driving it like this, but what can I do?

You mean he didn`t PM you back, or he is really booked? There are a couple more good detailers around you, can`t think of their names right now. I`m sure someone will weigh in soon.

I am booked solid for the remainder of the season... The only thing I can do is squeeze in some after hours work but he needs his car as a DD

I have a couple of cars coming up in the upper part of the Detroit/Pontiac area. I can look it over for you if you want as well.

Oh and my Biggest thing to whomever can help me out, is that I want all these marks gone on a more permanent level. I know I could just hide them, but I would want them to be corrected so I can have a solid base to start with. Then I can maintain it from then on out to not get into this kind of condition again.

    thanks

Any good detailer in the area should be able to remove the defects without simply hiding them with temporary products. If the detailer can`t explain the products they plan on using / don`t tape off edges and sensitive areas (like trim), doesn`t have the plans on doing a test section, and doesn`t plan to use any type of post-polishing testing (such an an alcohol wipe-down or such) to test for true correction, those are things, IMO, you need to be worried about.
