I have a 2002 911 Turbo w/16k miles that is black/black. The cars previous owner did not take very good care of the finish. I am looking for a shop to do a major cleanup. I am located in Mansfield Ohio. I will travel for a good place Oh yeah I am picky but a nice guy. I have 3 other cars I would like to have freshened up as well.

    Problems with the cars exterior

    1. I have a hardly noticeable ding in the drivers door. Only in certain light really looking.

    2. 3 deep scratches which may need paint work. Although I think they will buff out.

    3. The 3m bra is badly scratched. I am not sure if it needs to be removed or can it be buffed?

    4. The windshield has about 10 very small chips that I would like filled.

    5. I would like to I have several small chips I would like filled with touchup paint. I have seen people on tv fill a chip and make it invisible.

    6. Remove any swirls

    Interior

    1. The interior has a couple scuffs the rubber plastic.

I figure once someone restores the car I should be able to keep up with it using the knowledge of this forum

The car is not in terrible shape most people would never notice. I maybe over sensitive to the situation I am lookig for a quality place. I don`t need one guy to do it all. I am willing to travel. I am also willing to pay So any good references would be appreciated.

My shop is `geographically undesirable`, however, I thought I`d add my two cents...

I have seen people on TV make people invisible.

We do substantial volume of paint touchup, and frequently tell our clients to expect `two footers`, meaning the paint will look great from 2 feet away, but as you get up close, it is what it is.

Now, you may get better results, but having realistic expectations eliminates disappointment.

    Good Luck!

Damit Jim your killing me! I understand not to expect that much. I do find it interesting though that a product and technique has not been developed to make a invisible repair. I have seen some ok repairs. The car is black the chips are white anything has to look better
