    Police vehicle fleet

Hi i have up for grabs a police unit looking for their fleet detailed, wash once a week , (dry+windows+vac and wipe down) and wax once a month.

    12 vehicles, two being SUV`s

This should be a contact so im looking for suggestions on what would be the best pricing.
i have another fleet i charge 25 dollars for but the cars are only done once a month at 21 cars.

Any ideas of what i should charge,as to be competitive but not lose money?

    thanks!

Be careful in the prisoner areas (back seat) as well as use bio precautions

You can count on them calling you to clean the puddle of urine off of their backseat. Just hope the prisioner didn`t drop a runny deuce for you too !

Definitely make sure you don`t loose any money. There is nothing great about detailing a police car, just like the above comments, you`re going to have to deal with all those criminals that like to trash police cars when they get arrested, drunk people throwing up everywhere, druggies hiding their fix in the backseats so they don`t get caught, it`s a nasty mess. Trust me I`ve done it before.

You also have to ask yourself if you`re going to have enough time to take car of your other customers. Is it really worth it?

not sure yet but its a experience im definitely interested in taking. nothing better than guaranteed money imho. How does this sound to anyone whos interested ::: 12 vehicles (10 cars 2 SUV`s) normal price is 35.00 wash and vac (car)and 40.00 for SUV. 65.00 for wax and 75.00 for SUV i lowered to 20.00 for car wash each (to be done once a week) and 25.00 for the SUV`s. as well as 40.00 for car wax package and 45.00 for SUV(wax once a month). how does that sound? total is like 1540 at 60 vehicles

If this is just basic "floss and gloss", meaning that you wouldn`t have to deal with many bad "other-sides", aka nasty back interiors, the contract might not be bad? You should be able to judge how many hours it will personally take to make "routine cleans" of 60 patrol cars? Also, whether you can maintain 60 vehicles (totally by yourself?).

If you have to clean up the poop (etc) in the back? Better you, than me. Buy yourself at least one pair of Level 3 TurtleSkin puncture-proof gloves to handle any "surprises", you might encounter? Ugh.

From what I remember, Police will have a budget for the maintenance of their vehicles, including cosmetic upkeep. Charge whatever their budget allows (it could be a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly amount).

Everyone`s right about the interior of the vehicles, back in the 80`s I had a contract with one Police Dept and it was hell to pay during those nasty back seats.
