I haven`t used the free page creator that you can use if you host your website with GoDaddy but it probably works well enough to create a simple website. I do register all my names using GoDaddy as it`s just as good as anywhere and to date I`ve never had any problems.

Creating a website from scratch on the other hand means you need to know at least a little bit about using an ftp client, and at a minimum, a little bit about html coding. Even if you download a free template for a webpage, you still have to edit it and add all your own custom content.

I happen to use a WordPress & it`s the first that I have ever set up as my business site. Simple, clean and in my opinion ....... not bad at all.

    In the sig .......

    Re: Website

Check my signature links. My website is based on the wordpress platform. It looks nothing like the standard wordpress blog and I chose not incorporate a blog on there. The reason to use this setup is I can go into the backend and change, delete or add stuff easily, just like using a word processor. The backend is the same as the standard wordpress administration.

Wordpress websites are easily crawled by the Google spiders and that helps in rankings on the search engines.

If you don`t have a website yet, take a look into it. Stay away from FLASH websites. Google can`t read them easily and iphone doesn`t support it either.

If anybody has any questions, feel free to PM me.

    Good Luck

    Re: Website

After struggling for years with home built sites and never feeling like they were worthy of what our business had to offer we chose to have a site built for our shop. It is a full dynamic wordpress site that we can update with pictures posts and add or remove pages if we want.

Really the best money we have ever spent!

If the link works on the bottom check it out.

I used JustHost.com for my domain/website, its only $136 for 4 years (you have to pay that up front)the cheapest that I found. It has unlimited space too! It also has easy templates to follow. You can get some ideas from my website if it will help.

I notice that your website just says "west valley". How do people know where you are?

Checked it out and it looks great!

Wordpress sites like yours look like websites and I personally like the look.

The thin centered columm blog looking site is the "look" that I don`t thing works well for a business site but tweaking WP the way you have looks very professional.

    Nice job.

    Re: Website

Today, most everyone uses the internet to find a service or a product. Be sure when you do have your website put together you get it build as a search engine friendly website. You do want your website to get activity and just throwing up a website may not get you the traffic you are looking for. SEO (search engine optimization) is critical to your website getting exposure. By all means check out a lot of sites and find what types of designs you like. Try and stay away from to much fancy flash, search engines don`t like it, google won`t use it and most people click through it. Google love content..

Key words used in your content are also very important to use.

Do your research and be sure you build it right the first time so you don`t have to fix it later.
