Please share your flyers and pamphlets

Hello everyone. I am getting ready to do a door to door campaign in a city I will be moving to in a couple months. I have ordered new shirts with my new logo and I am wanting to get some really professional pamphlets made up. I am asking you guys to see if you have any ideas for me. I plan on taking your ideas and creating a pamphlet of my own. I will trade a detail for the cost of the work done on them.

    Thanks!

    Greg

These aren`t the ones I used, but I designed them. A friend showed me what he was going to use and I told him that they didn`t make him look like a professional at all. So I designed these in Photoshop and printed them on double sided matte paper. They worked out pretty well I thought.

Im liking those as well. If i printed a 1000 menus with my # then i wouldn`t need a business card, for me anyways.

You can do it in any program. You just have to know how large your paper is and then create your columns in thirds. I end up needing to print it a few times before I know I have the thirds set up right. I`d love to find a faster way of doing it myself too...

I`d go with MS Publisher if you want something "easy to use."

Have you ever used Adobe PageMaker or InDesign? Both are a little bit more powerful than Publisher, and give you integration with some photoshop design elements you may want to use.

The last time I used PageMaker was 15 years ago in High School when I was on the yearbook staff. I didn`t realize it was still in use. Fortunately I don`t do a lot of brochure designing. I do mainly logos, business cards, and websites. PageMaker isn`t much help in that regard.

Yep, sure is. Actually InDesign took the place of PageMaker, but it is essentially the same program. Suprisingly, even Quark XPress is still in use, too!

Going by the subject of your post “Please share your flyers and pamphlets”, for what it’s worth, looking at it from the consumer viewpoint, I would not be inclined to patronize a business that uses flyers. Somehow, for me, it just seems cheap.

Now on the other hand, I WOULD check into “Immaculate Detailing” business because of the tri-fold design “brochure/pamphlet”.

Nice job Jngrbrdman. It hits all he bases from getting the attention of the consumer, explaining your services, explaining your qualifications, products, and sample photos. It gives the impression of quality. It also gives the impression that if the business shows attention to detail in their pamphlet, then the business will show attention to detail in their product/service.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

Re: Please share your flyers and pamphlets

These are my brochures and business cards.

The brochures are heavy stock, tri-fold and very glossy. The business card is 3x4, heavy stock with a glossy front.

I did all the copy, purchased the images and a friend did all the design work in Adobe Illustrator. I was looking to achieve a classic, understated, 1930`s theme keeping away from the common, flashy, new Corvette / Porsche pic type brochures and cards. All of my clients are "old" - 50`s on up and respond to this marketing.

The colors look off in the pics. The red is more of a burnt red color (not fire engine) and the body is in a light silver with white and black accents. The fonts are Park Avenue and Myriad Roman

I got it all done at http://www.greatfxbusinesscards.com/ The contact name is Chris. GREAT guy and a big car buff. I found him by chance after contacting and speaking with a few other vendors. Excellent guy to work with

Hope this gives you an idea about layout and content. I blocked out all my contact info. If I violated a rule, please let me know and I`ll make an adjustment or remove the post.

LOL, that`s why I put "old" in quotes. After all, my folks are 64 and 62 so I have to be careful!
