Using the supplied Counter Weight (for a 6" backing plate) is alright to use with the Sonus 5" DAS Backing plate, correct?

I think i read that someone uses their 6" weight for a 5" backing because it causes even less vibration,,, but i can`t recall who said that. :werd:

The larger (6") counterweight seems to be smoother at the higher speeds. It will be fine with that 5" backing plate. The counterweights were I believe designated for the one-piece Porter Cable stuff, we wind up with more weight in the rotating parts because of the backing plate/pad combo (hence the reason it`s ok to use the bigger counterweight).

Probably me, I use that combo. Works fine. Idea is to minimize the weight of the pad/plate while maximizing the size of the counterweight. The foam pads we use weigh a lot more than the sandpaper the PC was designed for.
