7424 for my birthday, from my wonderful girlfriend. Well the only pad it came with was a white pad glued to a plate. What is this pad good for? What other pads do I need.

I am looking for the best pad to apply a polish like 1Z and AIO. The cars I am working on are, a 3 year old Boxster that has been babied but has some spider web micro scratches, a 3 year old Accord that has seen the worst weather, lots of salt, it has all types of paint problems.

What pads should I use on the boxster. I guess Im looking for the softest type of pads for that car. While on the Honda I am looking for something that will cut into the paint or polish off the top layer to remove scratches and swirls.

Throw that pad away, or at least keep it away from cars. Use it to polish headlights and glass. There are many different pads to choose from Lake Country, Sonus, Propel, etc. A green Sonus pad should work well on both, depending on the polish you use.

The white pad is for use with a microfiber bonnet, not as a pad by itself. Use it for removing polish.
