I’m pretty sure a Rupes replacement backing plate would fit. I pulled off the backing plate to look at it and it has the slot like Rupes. I didn’t pull one off of my Rupes to be 100 percent certain. The backing plate on the $99 polisher isn’t up to Rupes standards but isn’t too bad. New Rupes backing plates are in the $40 range and it almost defeats the purpose of buying the $99 deal. The pads that come with it are top notch, one Sonax and one no brand, but if I could get the no brand one at a decent price I would buy a ton. I tried to get Dr. Colorchip to tell me the pad manufacturer but they wouldn’t reply to my email sadly. The compound and polish are not bad either. This fall I want to run the polisher hard to see what happens. The price still amazes me.

I went to see if it was still avail, and was surprised it was. This seems like such a good deal.
I don`t need it. But for the price, I want to get it!
Like, really. I keep looking at it. Haha. So bad.
I won`t, though. I didn`t use my last 21mm much at all.
