    Ah, that`s interesting! Used to be the *hard* ones that were more prone to chipping, it was like "hard" = "brittle". Wonder if it`s related to today`s water-borne paints.

    I have noticed GM red jewel tricoat (wa505q) chips in big chunks as well as some other tri coats,,big chips over gray primer

    Thank you, clear bra guy that covered the front ends of all my vehicles !! I get no chips..
