    3" polisher extensions

I am looking to possibly add a small extension between my polisher and the backing platelike maybe a 3 or 4 " spacer threaded onto the shaft.
Got some feedback from another place that it is unsafe. I know I have seen videos of folks using them.

Anyone know where I can find them??

You`ve probably seen on on a Flex PE 8 rotary. You`re talking about putting it on a DA correct?? It can be done by using an adapter from DA to rotary and use a 2 7/8 rotary backing plate. I would think it would put a lot more stress on the bearings.

    Thanks for chiming in

I am going to buy one of those Griots 3" polishers- pretty sure its a DA- so your thinking only on a rotary? Shouldn`t put one on a DA cause of the oscilation??

    Hi
    I use extensions, and adapters.
Maybe double them up to get the 3"-4" .
    Some pics.
    I`m using a 12mm.
    w/DA to rotary adapter
    w/rotary Extension
    Rotary BPs 1" + 2".

The small machined yellow BP are made to order
from Buff Daddy. The best and safest, but $$
    diff. lengths, mine are 1"- 1-1/2", w/1-1/4 " BP.
    These are slick.20171020011049.JPG20171020011306.JPG20171020011433.JPG20171020011902.JPG20171020012133.JPG20171020012047.JPG20171020012213.JPG20171020012241.JPG20171020012502.JPG

The adalter adapts to rotary thread size, which allows you to get the spacer which will attach to a rotary.
