    I would suggest picking up a GG6 instead. Here`s a great kit:

Two of the most trusted names in car care join forces to eradicate paint defects from your finish with the Griot`s Garage & BLACKFIRE Duo Kit.

Great machine. Easy to use. Fantastic warranty.

I have the Griots Garage 6in DA. Works great and smooth operation. You cannot go wrong with this DA.

I can`t pull up that link. I assume that kit includes the 5 inch plate and 5.5" pads??

    I like the Porter Cable.

I hear the GG6 has more power, but I have no complaints of the 7424.

    Re: Torq 10FX?

Are BF abrasives relabelled Menzerna? (NO, no...I don`t have issues with companies doing that, not at all.) That was the scuttlebutt back in the da; SRC Polish was a variation on the 106 theme.

Just wondering as when buying a Kit I`d give thought to whether the stuff included is really what you like/want. E.g., I`m all about NON-diminishing abrasives for most work, so I wouldn`t want to pay for ones that need to break down.

I believe Menzerna makes the BF abrasives, but to PBMG (or Autogeek...or McKees..or..) specifications.

I had bought such a kit some time back. For the GG6. I had intended to sell the polisher and keep the compound/polish. Turned out, I sold the liquids and kept the polisher. Go figure. Either way, it was money saved!

Hey Reecard, in referance to the Torq10FX
I got one, don`t use it any more. For 2 reasons

    1. The buttons for speed control are flush to the handle
I bump them without knowing and change speeds,
Up,down or off, right in the middle of working.
    2. The fan vent aims at the paint, so while I was using
It, my product would get blown dry before I was done.

Don`t know if this helps, but the other one, the TorqX
She is a sweet machine, small, light, powerful. The
Off switch is on the bottom, it` s just a switch, not a
    slider or Rocker.

The other thing is the guys are suggesting GG6
Which has a very good warranty, with an equally good
    Company backing it up.

Good Luck, please post your new Machine

    Re: Torq 10FX?

JustJesus- Well, you have that Menzerna 85ed from me, right? Gee, you buy/sell lots of stuff...wish I could unload some more of mine

And yeah, that "made-to-spec" is what I thought too.

Mary B- That thing with the exhaust drying the product would be an *instant* and complete deal-breaker for me.
