I need a substitute for the Rupes Green pad that doesn`t self destruct

I love, love, love me some Rupes + Rupes action...BUT

my green pads self destruct like crazy

WAY worse than Hydroshreds, way worse

I have tried priming, under priming, over priming, conditioner sprays, Nothing helps

had to bust the green pad out last night on the roof and hood and it made a nice little mess

What pad (eurotech or long throw safe) can I buy that cuts just about the same as the Rupes Green pad?

    Thanks

    -Brandt K.

I believe the Uro-Tec maroon is nearly the same. It even feels very similar in my hands. One thing I love about the Uro`s is the beveled edge.

I don`t have a Rupes, but I`d consider the Lake Country HD Orbital Blue Pad Lake Country HD Orbital 6 Inch Foam Pads. They were designed specifically for long-throw polishers and have been all but bulletproof in my limited use.

    I love my DRC pads.

I use the Pro Series ones.
I`ve got Rupes and LC Flats but always grab for these after not getting results I`m looking for worth the other ones.
I abused a DRC on my Rupes 21 mk2 (guess i overheated it a bit, but they stood behind it and sent another one out..They wanted the damaged one for R&D.

    Anyone else use these?

Agree 100% they feel almost identical to me. They seem to hold up well and the beveled edge is nice.

I love these pads as well. These were the first "long throw" alternative pads I tried. Very durable and the cyan HD cuts and finishes very well.

I also have the B&S Low Pro`s. They are a little bit thinner and stiffer than the Uro-Tech`s and the Lake Country HD`s. Which makes them feel like they spin at a faster rate than the other pads.

I honestly don`t feel like you can go wrong with any of the ones mentioned. All are great pads.

I`m with you on the Rupes green pads. Heat just blows them up. I`m using the Uro-tech maroon until Rupes replaces their green with something that will last. I don`t know what speeds people are using on the Mk IIs, I just ruin them on 4 with the legacy model. I`ve really just quit using them even though I`ve got a bunch of them in all sizes. Sad.

yea my stubborn self just HAD to bring it out last night

I am afraid to try the 7inch Green Rupes pad on my MK2 21 as I`m sure it will shred all the way onto the walls, haha (its brand new)

honestly I barely even use the MK2 21 as it is. still kind of afraid of it..but the clicking noise inside the housing is pretty much gone- I guess it was just needing to be ran a little while
it baffles me that it is quieter than my duetto

Don`t know anything about Rupes pads, but the Maroon UT is a BEAST! Love it!
