I believe the Milwaukee is heavier.

The Milwauke is much lighter then the Makita, but the Makita have more power and torque.

Get yourself a AEG PE 150, it´s more or less the same machine then the Milwauke, but cheaper. It´s a superb polisher and perfect for a rookie. I have had one but sold it for a flex. But I will buy my self a new one.

The power of AP12QE is not enough to remove defects??I prefer a lighter polisher but i like the d-handle of Makita.I am new on rotary polisher and i want something easy to use,but better than a DA polisher : )

AP12QE is powerful to do anything, but the Makita have better torque (IE can handle 8" pad with ease). The AEG PE 150 is the same machine as the Milwauke, their are small differences, but the engine is the same.

I will order a PE 150 this week. And this machine is much easier to control then the Makita IMO. This machine is just over 2 kg and the Makita is over 3 kg. Very easy to handle.

I`d love to have one of these. 2.2 kilograms = 4.8 lbs! Wonder if Milwaukee makes a US version of the AP12QE?

Vibrates and sounds like any rotary polisher will do...

    EDIT:

Check out the AEG PE 150 if you can find it cheaper then the Milwauke, as I said before - they are the same machine.

What about the 2500 rpm limit instead of 3000rpm on Makita...Doesn`t that matters??
