I`m not sure how others clean their wools pads but after rinsing them a couple times with a hose and letting them drip dry I`ve changed my method. I mostly use ZPC and HTEC and mist the wool pad thoroughly with an ISO/water spray, I simply take a clean MF towel and work it over the face of the pad. It breaks down the polish and leaves the pad clean. I suspect that Menzerna would respond similarly. If using oily polishes and compounds this method might not get them clean enough.

I always mines. I don`t clean them with a MF (unless dedicated to this use) because the threads contaminate the MF. I just rub them with a normal bar soap, then use the "CENTRE" setting on my multi-pattern garden sprayer which produces very strong, thin needle like water jets, then spin them dry on the rotary @ 3000 RPM, and let them dry. They are drying in no time and they are still like brand new. I use this setting to clean my foam pads too. Quick, convenient and this pattern pushes even the most stubborn polishes out of my pads.

oh nice... I haven`t washed mine yet afraid it would harden the wool like some have said. I`m contemplating getting the system 2000.

I didn`t think about the fibers messing up the MF. I assumed the MF would wash clean.

I spray woolite on them while rinsing in hot water, spin dry on a rotary, and then immediately use a hair dryer to dry them completely.

I soak them in water and simple green for a good 20 minutes.

    Then message them.

    Then rinse thuroughly.

    Then sping dry on rotary.

Then let air dry the rest of the way for about a day.

When a day goes by i put them back on the rotary and spur them.

    Look brand new.

I only use the edge wools so i dont know if this method is safe for any other wool pads not made by edge.
