I own a black lexus IS250 and I have desided to polish it since I go crazy when I see scratches and scips on it. The paint is very soft and the only products I am able to get here in Iceland are Meguiars. What should i buy and what pads. I just ordered a Makita BO6040. The paint is not in bad conditionof but it has a lot of chips and small amount of swirls. What pad and what products from meguiars should I go for? How can I repair those chips?

B@tm@n- For the chips, I suggest you do the dreaded search..Picus in particular has a great thread about some touchups that he did and man did they turn out great. One tip: get Meguiar`s brand sandpaper, it really is that much better than the others.

For your paint, I`d suggest Meg`s #80 on a Meg`s 8006 pad. That might not be quite aggressive enough, but it`s a great starting point.
