Let me start off by saying, this is a great forum. I`ve read a lot, now I have a few questions.

    I own a 2000 Honda S2000 with a Hardtop. Its Silverstone.

It looks shiney, but the paint is slightly rough (feels like over spray)

Pinnacle XMT Fine Swirl remover #2

Pinnacle XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1

    Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze

Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax

I watched the videos on autogeek.net looks pretty straight forward..this is my plan of attack

Dawn Wash to strip off old wax (if there is any left LOL, its been a long time since the car has been detailed)

Meguire`s Clay Bar with Meguire`s QD

XMT #1 with the orange pad and see if that clears up the minor swirls if not step up to the XMT #2

    Finishing glaze with Blue Pad

Carnuba Paste Wax with white pad

    Does this sound ok?

My 2nd question is can i use any of this on my headlights which are starting to look cloudy? Or do I need to purchase a specific product/pad to do the headlights.

Also the Windshield has some waterspots, which pad would be good to use on the glass? I have this glass/metal (weird combo?) polish that i will be using.

Thanks in advance, sorry for all the questions.....

    Nice car!

The claying should get rid of the rough feeling/overspray.

I never use Dawn to wash. But some do. Regardless, since you`ll be polishing the car the wax will be removed by doing that.

You`re starting point on polishing sounds fine. You may want to do a pass of XMT1 on a light polish pad if you see any hazing after the XMT2/orange pad. Then move on to the glaze.

I`ve used SSR1 on a white pad to polish headlight covers with success, likewise on glass. I`d imagine XMT1 would work similarly.

Thanks for the quick reply. I can`t wait for my stuff to come in.

How many passes do you normally make with a clay bar? Is there a chance it wont make it feel smooth

just keep on going over the paint until the clay glides smoothly over the surface. Make sure u use ALOT of QD

yes u can use the pads on headlights and windows tho i dont know if i would use the edge pads i usually use 4" pads. Much cheaper and easier to clean, your pads will be filthy after using them on headlights and windows.
