I`ve been telling myself that I would get a PC for about a year now! Well the time has finally come, and I am going to order one by the weekend. I was just wondering if this would be a good "starter package"?

I hope its a decent setup. The price is perfect for me!

    Thanks a lot,

Thank you very much! Should I get another finishing pad to apply my sealant and/or LSP, or should I get a finessing pad?

I think the price is good on that package and the products are good as well... I would just request a white pad over the grey one, or maybe an extra pad...

good selection man its a great package to get started with for sure. i went with this one Pinnacle Porter Cable 7424 Kit - two huge names in car care which worked great for me it comes with some more goodies as you can see but is a little more pricey. hope it works for you man :xyxthumbs

Don`t forget to search for a discount code! The two I`ve recently seen on the forums are `detailcity` for a 10% discount, and `AGO` for free shipping I believe. I ordered the Portercable Basic Pad Kit last week and didn`t use a code

when i order kits, i personally look for the one that has the most to offer, ie: product, towels, pads, etc.

i`d probably go with something like this. it`s about $70 more, but you get 3 Optimum products; orange, white, and gray pads; and 3 towels. also is a backing plate, and use the code AGO for free shipping.

ok...now I`m thinking about getting the Optimum package. I hear people saying how good Optimum is all the time!

Do you work in the compound similarly to the Pinnacle product...pretty much till it disappears?

    Is this the process:

    Opt Compound-------Orange LC Pad

    Opt Polish-------------White Polish Pad

    Opt Poli-Seal----------Gray Finishing Pad

    Then a good wax

Hello All, I`m a newb here. I would like to get a PC kit and like the kit suggested in post #8

I had a question though. Do I need more pads for multiple cars? I have a 2006 acura and my buddy has 2006 Subaru. We wanted to tackle both but first practice on my 1996 civic. TIA!
