Ok, this sounds weird but a friend of mine does a ton of polishing on finished carbon fiber parts. A lot of these parts are tiny and he always uses a 3" pad on an air powered drill. He is looking for something better to use that is commercial grade and made for polishing, not a drill like he uses now.

    Thanks!

Wen makes a nice mini-orbital polisher. It is pretty powerful considering its size. TOL carries it. Another option is a pneumatic powered polisher. These things can be really tiny, but because they are powered by compressed air, are very powerful.
