    Well its tuesday did you get it?

    i got the wrong backing plate delivered yesterday so the company is 2 daying me the right one

    Yep! I got it this morning. I haven`t had a chance to use it yet other than starting it up and changing to the various speeds. I had a real beast today to contend with. I will get to use it tomorrow on an old school Porsche though.

    OK, I used it today and have a good impression of it. I kept checking the side of it to see if the Makita label was going to appear. It feels, works and sounds JUST LIKE a Makita 9227! I am less fatigued after using it on a 2 step detail today of a "updated" 74 Porsche. I never felt like I needed to put it down for a few minutes and I required fewer breaks.



    If you`re looking to buy a Makita, I`d say that this is one in disguise with a longer warranty and if you can find them on ebay again, a much lower price.

    Yep. There is the speed ramp up and then almost silent until it`s under load. Then it has that distinct Makita "whine."
