All I`ve ever used is Orange and White pads. The orange pad seems like it`s a lot harder to buff the polish off and I spend a lot more time with the MF getting the residue off than I do with the white pad. How does the yellow pads compare? I use FI 2 and SMR, occasionally PI. I was thinking of getting a fresh set of pads this year and was thinking of going yellow instead of orange.

Lake Country`s (the manufacturer) yellow pad is their most aggressive cutting pad; 1 step moreso than the orange.

It is the equivalent of Meg`s maroon pad.

Only use it if you need something more aggressive- the orange shuold suffice for most details, although it`s nice to have a yellow on hand incase you need it occasionally.

The Propel orange pad is great IMO. It`s the perfect aggressiveness for removing swirls.

I haven`t used the yellows yet since it`s still too cold to do much of any detailing, but I have stocked up on pads for the upcoming season.

    I got 3 yellows, 3 orange, and 2 green pads. I already have 3 white (Meg`s) and 3 tan (Meg`s finishing pads).

I, personally, don`t car for orange pads too much. My go-to paint correction pad is always yellow, and will sometimes follow up with the orange or skip the orange all together and go straight to a Sonus green or LC white.
