YAY I got one for Christmas, and I ordered the Sonus Pads and da flex plate from autopia for it, do I need anything else, it seems to not spin in a circular motion but more of an elipse, with the counterweight, with a bit of vibration, this is correct right? Would I need to change the weight or anything to start polishing away?

Yep, that`s about how they work, in a random orbit/oscillating motion.

You should be fine with the Sonus pad kit. As far as counterweights go you either have a 5" or 6" counterweight depending on what model # PC you have. The one that Meg`s sells has a 5" counterweight and I`ve never had a problem using 6/6.5" pads with a 5" backing plate, and others report no problems and seem to prefer a 6" weight.

If you experience excess vibration you can try changing the weight if you`d like (they are pretty cheap). Here is one source of info and they also sell the weights:

The only other thing you might need, if you ordered the pad kit, are some extra pads. It`s always nice to have about three polish pads and a couple of finish pads (depending on how many products you plan on using).

Thanks for the link, those are cheap!

Yes more pads, I am going to have to get some of those.

    I got a PC7424 from Home Depot.
