I bought my PC7424 from CoastalTool ($109!) with the counterweight, et al. I mostly use pads from CMA, altho just got a white Meg`d pad which i really like.

Regarding the carpet issue, I really like my B&D Scumbuster! ($35-$40 Target, WalMart, etc) Check this out! It is one of the best tools I have! On a par with the PC!

Just wanted to thank the main man jimamary for the advice on the Scumbuster! Wal-Mart sells it for $29 on their website. I went to Lowe`s and they priced match the item plus 10% since theirs was priced at $39. So I paid $25.88 and it looks like a cool tool!! Pays to pick up an extra battery!! Get the S500, it comes with everything.

I love mine. Just happened to see it at Target one day. If you haven`t done so, snag one of the gold batteries-lasts me a good 1 1/2 hours, more than enough to do 3 interiors.

PC will be my next major purchase.
