    Hi,

after reading through countless posts on this board, I still have a question:

I live in Europe (Luxembourg) and wondered if anyone could tell me what would be a good alternative to a PC. Since we have 220V here, a lot of the polishers you use aren`t an option here. Until now I always detailed my car by hand, but I feel that the time has come to try something more efficient.

You can buy a PC from eg Coastal Tools (US company on the net) and get a voltage convertor. Quite a few of the UK members have done this (We are 220v/240V)

eg this may be a little over the top but you get the idea

That sounds a bit complicated, considering that I would still have to order a PC. I heard that Porter Cable makes tools under the name of "Flex" in europe (http://www.flex-tools.de/en). Is this true? If so, perhaps they have the same model running under a different name.

As I get older and hopefully wiser, I look for ways to make things easier and more efficient. That being said, the PC 7424 was one of my best investments. I would imagine PC sells all over the world. I would check the PC website for more info. You should be able to find a good dual action polisher in Europe. Also check with local detail shops, they aren`t doing it all by hand.
