Not a problem at all. NEVER be SORRY to have an opinion... just OWN IT !!
Kevin, I had the pleasure of meeting you late last year at a Meguiars Thursday Night Open Garage before you wrote this review. I think you alluded to this upcoming thread when I asked (post-SEMA) if a review of the new G110 was forthcoming.

And based largely on your review which I initially read on the Meguiars forum, I sold my G110v1 in December, bought the G110v2 and paired it with my PC 7336 on a recent polishing. I keep the PC as a dedicated 4" polisher so I don`t have to swap out backing plates, but it did allow me to detect the differences you wrote about with no degree of uncertainty.

I kept the speed of my G110v2 at 4.5 for the larger surface areas, but I found that I had to kick up my PC to speed 6 just to achieve the same results I was receiving with the Megs DA. At first I thought it was due to narrow planes of polishing for which I was using the PC (roof pillars, upper door panel segments, etc), but then I tested out the G110v2 with a 4" pad and got the same results with the same 4.5 speed I had used on the rest of the car. Now I`m thinking of retiring the PC and getting another G110v2!

    Thanks again!

How can the G110v2 be able to do more defect removal at lower speed settings compared to the PCXP, yet the PCXP has slighty more amps/power?

I do experience the same thing as I`m able to go some extreme correction with the v2 at speed 5 via the KBM or Surbuf pads. If I have some time, I will try 4.5 on my next correction.

I do not know why either.

Do you rarely use speed 6 for correction with the v2?

Anybody ever try the Makita BO6040? That and the Cyclo get about as much press as a high school chess club.

IF - big old IF, I ever by another DA, I`d try the Makita just cause it`s a purdy shade of blue. And PAC sells them!!!!!

BTW - the weather here sucks and I`ll be busier than a three legged cat in a sand box if and when it ever breaks...
All I have in this world is my word, and my balls and I don`t break `em for no one, you understand?"

Yikes! I tried to search "KBM" and don`t see anything. "Kevin Brown Method" does not lead to anything in particular...

Let me search "Bryan Burnworth KBM". Yup, some good stuff there.
Let me search "TH0001 KBM"... hmmm.

I do have a MASS compilation of posts pulled from various forums over on DW but I think it`s a NO-NO to link to other forums.

Perhaps it`s time I can copy and paste it together for posting on TID without the links.

    Patience please. :toetap05:

I actually tried the G110v2 and while it was ok, I like the overall feel of the new Griot`s DA better. Plus, the Griot`s didn`t bog as easily under pressure. Then again, the Griot`s has a much more powerful motor than the G110v2.

I have not yet tried the GG machine. It is getting great reviews.
I am just happy that you have asked a LOAD of questions, contemplated the advice, and are acting upon it.
Seems to me that you are new to the detailing scene, but MAN has it gotten into your blood... and it is coursing through your VEINS! :notworthy:

I still can`t believe you don`t like the G110v2... ... you dastardly SPEED DEMON.
