Get the Griots 6" DA...(known affectionately as the GG6)...and get the 5" backing plate for it.....thats the setup I used with the HexLogic Quantum...you will not be disappointed

I figured I would start there with the orange black and white pads. Wasn`t sure if there were others colors to get immediately or to get the others as needed

I would be doing you a disservice if I didn`t mention Meguiar`s Microfiber pads, they gotta be top dog.

The quantums look really nice. A bit more money tho. I guess my next question is are the quantums worth it over the regular Hexlogic. They say the quantums work cooler and don`t store the heat as much

I would error on using one pad per panel BUT, if you clean your pad "on the fly" you may be able to stretch one pad for two panels (depending on size of panel) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuyrBrqz_YU

The Quantums have a hole in the middle....they are reported to not store as much heat due to the theory that the center of the pad is where the majority of the heat builds up
