    New to Detailing

I`m sure this is a common question. I`m new to detailing and I need a DA polisher. I only plan on detailing my Honda and my wife`s Prius. I`ve used the Meg`s poisher and of course it`s nice. Very easy etc. I`m on the fence. Some of my friends say the Griots $150 model is all I need. The price is right etc. I`m not rich so I can`t buy more than one machine so I want to make sure I buy the right one the first time.
    thanks for any advice!

Hi, welcome to the addiction..... You don`t know it just yet though.

As far as polishers go, it`s more of a personal choice. You can get good results from a 100 polisher v a 5oo polisher. One may do the job faster and the comfort feel in you hands.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

I find it tough to beat this for a beginner:

6 in. 5.7 Amp Heavy Duty Dual Action Variable Speed Polisher

In terms of performance, it`s every bit as good as my GG6. The GG6 is more refined, IMO, but I find myself grabbing the harbor freight one more often than not.

It`s $69.99; use coupon code 71018174 to get it down to $55.99. Standard shipping is $6.99. $62.98 makes it a no brainer.

Really? Harbor Freight? That`s great to know. I have one roughly two miles away.

    Re: New to Detailing

Get a used Rupes 15, thats by far the best bang for the buck. I recently let mine go for 225 shipped, sad to see it go but upgraded to the new one which is 400$... The rupes 15 or even the 21 are the best bangs for the buck used. They blow away anything in that price bracket.
