    Ron,

You owe it to yourself to try a new tech rotary. With variable RPM`s ranging from 600-3000 they are not the rotarys from the 80`s. Although, I`ve never used an 80`s rotary, my Dewalt isn`t much more sophisticated. I would love to update my 15-20 year old Dewalt, but it works perfectly.

I think you can`t go wrong with the Rupes MKII, Flex 15, or the GG Boss. Maybe you can test drive the Flex Pe-14, nothing beats the smoothness of rotary.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

This sums it up for me for me. I now have two almost new cars, albeit both in metallic black.. I consider the 3401 only for rough work, because it is a beast for that, but I`ve used it like twice.

I`m going to get rid of my 3401, and my 3403. I`ve found I use my Griots 6" for rough work, my PE-8 for spot work and tight places, and my Rupes 15 for finish/jeweling. Beyond that they`re money in the cabinet.

My Griots 3" in order not to feel bad I`d have to pay someone to take it :-P

I figured my Rupes post would have been all the endorsement you needed.

I`m still loving my MarkII 21.

I liked the Boss 21 at first but I couldn`t trust it after what happened and I didn`t like the noise it made either. I did like the instant start feature but the slow start doesn`t really bother me.

I think you made a good choice. Time to sell all the others. You won`t want to use them anymore.
