Rupes Advanced Guys I could use some advice

I purchased the Rupes 15 with some Yellow and Blue pads and also the yellow and blue polishes.

I ordered more pads with the last sales and my free gift (Thanks Ray) was the Rupes blue MF disc`s. When would I use those? Instead of the blue pad? Trying to determine the difference between MF and Foam Pads.

I have never used MF pads of any type before and OI am unsure of the correct application.

They are thin compared to foam, looks like they would not ride well on an uneven surface?
