These are probably 5+ years old. `They are two-sided, I think synthetic wool, with a hex adapter that they snap onto. `They were big around here at the time, I just didn`t write down what they were, or more specifically, what the relative cutting rate of them was.

    `

One is light blue, the other a darker blue. `Let me know if any more info would help. `Thanks!

Edge2K I think.` IIRC they were bought out by somebody (?3M?).` The same pads are (?were?) sold in 4" through Cyclo.

    `

IIRC (and that might be a big "if"), the darker one has more cut and is somewhat aggressive, but nothing to worry about.` I`ve used the 4" one on Ford clear without any problems.

    `

Eh, I bet a google on "Edge 2K" would bring up the line`s specs, even after all this time.` Or see what the colors correspond to at CycloToolmakers.

Definitely EDGE pads. And yes, 3M bought the rights to them: `http://3mcollision.com/products/buff...polishing-pads

Thanks, good to see you are still around! `You guys are spot on, Edge 2K is exactly what they are, as soon as I read you saying it I remembered. `It looks like green (not light blue) is a light cut, and blue is a finishing pad, which sounds right due to my general aversion to heavy cutting products.

    `

A friend just got his `90 ZR-1 back from a shipping company, and it had a lot of scratches. `The way he described them, you`d think someone used sand paper as a car cover, so I was grabbing some of my heavier duty stuff and dreading if it came down to using a rotary... `Anyway, turns out Meguiar`s DACP, a Cyclo, and orange pads took them out. `It is leaving some hazing behind, but a PC with a normal buffing pad and some Meg`s Speed Glaze easily addressed that. `There`s probably a way to use DACP where it needs less followup, but this was working.

    `

I suppose by now, though, that stuff is antique... `When getting out the polishes, I noticed I still have an unopened tin of #16 sealed up in a ziploc bag. `I may have to toss some onto one of the cars once spring arrives... `

Aurora40- Glad you got it sorted out with that elderly DACP/Cyclo combo!

Yeah, I`m still using M16 on my wife`s Audi.
