I recently posted a video review of my initial impressions of the new HD Polisher. This video is a follow up of that video, but also a direct side by side comparison between it and all of the other current model Dual Action polishers on the market.

    This video compares the following:

    HD Polisher

    Griots Garage 6

    Meguiars G110v2

    Porter Cable 7424XP

    Shurhold

If you have any questions, please ask.

    Thanks for watching!

The flex was not included for the same reason the Makita wasn`t. They have forced rotation, which gives them an unfair advantage to the true dual action polishers I reviewed.

Thanks for posting the review. It is nice to see another alternative to other polishers.

Great review as always Gary!! While each of the polishers have a different sound, the noise level differences are so close I don`t see how it could matter to anyone.

BTW Griots has verified on a number of occasions that there is no difference between the GG6 "Professional" model and the newer one--only difference is the word "Professional" has been eliminated from the case. If you had to rate the polishers (1,2,3 etc) would they be in the order in your post:

    HD

    Griots

    Megs

    Porter Cable

    Shurhold

Thanks, Thomas. The HD polisher I have has more of a start delay, versus the Megs ease into fast soft start.

Awesome vid as always Gary! You don`t have to explain yourself with your first review though, it`s called first impressions! My hearing is already shot to begin with so I didn`t find HDs polisher to be very offensive so to speak when I got to try Barry`s out. It is a lot louder then my G110v1 and a whole lot more powerful obviously. The only thing that threw me back was the amount of heat it was kicking out, have you had any issues with that?

Again, love your vids, very entertaining and informative.........even for the "prosumer"!

    Garry my man, nice job!!

Yeah, my HD polisher runs like a bat outta hell! Honestly, it`s so powerful on speed 5, I haven`t even tried it on speed 6!

FWIW, I think the Flex 3401 sucks donkey balls!

Thanks for posting this Garry. I know I have stated that your videos aren`t my cup of tea in the past but this is the exact type of video I need to help me decide what DA Polisher to pick up as a backup to my PC. I had been contemplating a new flex but they are simply too much $ for me to justify and wanted something different than my current.

So Kudos for you for posting this video and the HD polisher only. I already wear ear protection while using my PC so the increased sound possibility isn`t much of a concern. The amount of torque and comfort noted is what sold me.

And thanks for the heads up on rotating the handle.

Just submitted the order a few minutes ago. HD should thank you personally for this order.

I have the Flex 3401 and the HD Polisher. I`d buy the HD over the 3401 in a heartbeat. If you like a polisher to control you, not control it, you`ll LOVE the 3401!
