I was just a little surprised given that Kevin seems to be big on "long stroke" DAs, as opposed to something that has a tighter orbit than a standard PC.

Judging from the schematic... it creates a true and centered rotary action!

It can handle 12,000 RPM. It is also available in a 6" version (#61321).

Not that there are many buffing pads that would safely run at that speed, but it sure would be fun seeing how flat they get! :heh:

The stroke isn`t all that big, but it is still capable of creating quite a bit of rotation. It seems that this gadget would be ideal for use with sanding discs- random mode for sanding, and rotary mode for grinding.

On small or skinny parts, or in confined areas (where a large stroke machine wouldn`t reasonably work), this unit would be nice to have in the arsenal.

I ordered one of these, they are hard to come by, but it`s supposed to be here this week... I have the previous model, so I will have to do a comparison...

I first called Ntxtools and they told me they had two in stock, so I ordered one, after week, I asked them about it and they said it would be a couple of days before it would ship since they didn`t stock them... After another week, they told me it would take an additonal 7-10 days since Dynabrade would have to make it and ship it to them. I canceled that order and placed an order with Abrasivestore.com, they told me they would ship out this week. I didn`t shop at rshuges...

I hate dealing with that... I did speak with someone from rshughes said he could get it to where dynabrade ships it directly to me.
