Faded Red Car

Hey Guys,



I`m lloking at buying the beloew car but want to know first if the paint is able to be restored without respraying. If yes is there somethin in particular I can do? I don`t want to spend alot of i`m hoping that it will just take a good polish! Please help!!!!!!

Looks to me like it is oxidation from exposure which can often be improved with buffing with am electric buffer and polish. Is this original paint? Or a low quality repaint? Hard to say from here how bad it is. Or how good it can look.

It is the original paint. The car is a 2003 proton Satria, forgot to mention that! I`m hoping it comes up alright!

It looks like it is SS paint. My mr2 was like that before I painted it again with many layers of clear. Anywho, with my experience with faded red paint is that you are going to have to correct it and wax/seal it often in order to keep it looking good.

Klasse AIO was made for that car. It`ll remove the oxidation chemically and reveal the real paint under the oxidized layer. You`ll have to put a sealer of choice on top of the restored paint or the oxidation will return really quickly.

Klasse offers their Sealant Glaze. The AIO and the Glaze are referred to as the Klasse Twins but it`s not essential you use the Klasse sealant - there are quite a few other sealant choices that`ll work too.

So, get the car and negotiate a price based on the bad paint. Don`t reveal your secret weapon - Klasse AIO.
