Back to your buffing style. I believe at least one person suggested to look at your own work under halogen lights but after cleaning the paint with IPA or a "paint cleaner" product. I maybe off here, but with the way you buff, you are leaving awful buffer trails behind. Hard to see on silver color, but they are there.



Once or twice the car is washed and the oils are gone, this is most likely how your "details" look like. I personally wouldn`t be proud of it at all.

Thomas, I know your just trying to be nice, but its men like Jeff that make people think that they can achieve perfect paint using god-awful techniques. Somewhere in one of his rants he said that we are all wipe on wipe off waxers. That is such an insult to people like you Thomas, and Barry, and Rasky to name a few.



I to would also like you to use your HD video camera Jeff and do multiple IPA wipedowns to a black car that you "polished" with a wax. In your videos you say that you polished the vehicle, but in here you said that BC-2 is a wax. Huh? How are you polishing the paint with a "wax"? If that were the case then all of us wipe on wipe offers are just doing it wrong i guess! Your overspray removal seems to work and your good at it. Stick to that. Because the finish your leaving behind on cars is more than likely terrible and similar to the BMW that Thomas posted. The fact that you think you can perfect results with your techniques is an outrage. Proper corrections takes TIME and is not something that can be RUSHED.

I just watched that video again, and I must say the most impressive thing in it is the adhesive Volvo uses for their emblems. :dance:



DeWalt cranked up full tilt, using a big wool pad completely on its edge, and arm movements reminiscent of an epileptic seizure...I suppose all that is flawless technique. :der:

First of all salpac, how are you an expert ? none of you guys have any videos that demonstrate your work. I have over 160 on Youtube, Vimeo, dailymotion, just to mention a few. I am also the only overspray removal specialist on the planet that has over 250 Google ads and websites from all over the world, like Russia, China, Dubai, Japan, and many other countries that feature my videos. You boys should really do your research. I am the only person in this business that has demonstration videos of auto trim & molding repair videos. "America has enough **** talkers we need some do-ers"

I don`t see how having ANY amount of self-made videos strewn across the internet qualifies you for anything. I`m not going to dog pile on you but if you think because you post those hastily made, poorly edited and narrated videos you are in for a serious awakening....especially here. TTYL

First of all Ron long before you thought you were an expert, I was repairing vehicles from all sorts of paint damage. Do a little research on who you are talking about. I will tell you just like anyone else that thinks they are an expert, "where are all your videos demonstrating your expert work?" I am the only person in the world that even has demonstration videos of someone removing Protective & marine coatings overspray damage from vehicles. I am also the only person that has demonstration videos of auto trim and molding repair. If you would take a little time and watch some of my videos I am using an HD sony camera and repairing the vehicle while the owner observes me.

I hope you weren`t directing that at Ron Ketchum - he has forgotten more about detailing and paint then you will ever know. Get a grip dude

I hired a guy that had 30 years of experience when i hired him. Needless to say he lasted a week because he got fired after he asked for more black spray paint to paint dark gray carpets on a 1 year old car black instead of cleaning them. He never uses clay bars or extractors because they dont work and take to long. His favorite cheaner of choice was thinner. This thread just reminds me of him. Alot of the guys that work for me at a large dealership are fairly good, but there is no way we could take the time or money to detail cars like on here. I tried to order a flex for the guys but was told if they want something like that they can buy there own equipment to use. The money i spend on equipment and supplies is watched over very well from the higher ups. Now the money i spend on supplies in my own garage is a different story.

Yes. The technology in both tools and paint has changed a lot. Anyone who has been doing things the same way for 15+ years without paying attention to the current trends can do as much damage as someone with no experience at all. It`s kind of like a heart surgeon who always chooses to crack the chest because they aren`t aware of angioplasty. The job gets done, but big scars are left and the chance of death goes up significantly.

I have never heard of jeff suggs until i was subjected to the videos on here, and i have had many a people ask me if i knew anyone who did overspray removal.

What would be a good situation for it? I remember Fermani mentioned it before but I can`t remember what was said about it.

BC2 is sorta like a diminishing abrasive version of D151 from Meguiar`s. You can use it as a finishing step if needed. Its probably one of the better AM refinishing products, not AMAZING OMOGMOMGOMG, but its pretty good.

I repaired over 250 vintage & muscle cars from overspray damage in 2007 at the POCI Convention in Tulsa. Someone was painting near the car show and overspray all the vehicles, from 2007 GTO to 1911 oaklands. I traveled over 25,000 miles to repair every vehicle. You car washers should research before talking out of your asses. Check out the 2007 POCI Convention in Tulsa, its in "Smoke Signals" magazine August 2007. you can match the cars in the magazine to my videos. Look guys i don`t any of you, and would never post on your videos. My videos are for insurance companies and contractors to observe. The reason none of you will never be more than what you are is , you have to think out of the box. You cannot deny the work in my videos.
