BWAHAHAHAHA. Google research team? Pull your head out of your ***. Videos get ranked by viewers. This one is ranked pretty high:

Is it ranked high because they suck or because its awesome?

.....Say... you mentioned an "HD Camera"... man that sounds AWESOME. Perhaps you can do a full IPA wipedown a few times after you do your magic and post a shot with halogens??? I`d love to get a closeup of how perfect the finish looks. Bonus points for a black car.

I know you won`t, but you know why guys like us hate people like you? You think you are the ****. You refuse to open your eyes to anything but your own ***. Wake up, take a look at who the real leaders in the industry are. Its not you.

You`re the one who came to the forum and started posting ridiculous insults aimed at an entire group of professionals, including a guy (Ron Ketcham) who has probably forgotten more than you`ll ever know about the automotive appearance industry. We are all passionate about our craft here, and it pains us to no end when someone is out there spreading misinformation and perpetrating improper techniques as correct. That is what gives our industry a bad name with the general public.

Excellent points Ron. Anyone that has ever done work with a dealership has most likely encountered this kind of thing. The dealers here have been putting heavy downward pressure on pricing for the last 2 years and there are guys that will play the game and give them what they want. There will always be hacks and lowballers. The great thing is they are an excellent tool to distinguish the difference between the quality and service you provide.

Guys like this are why I stopped posting on the forums for the better part of the last 6 years. I`m not sure why detailing attracts so many of this unique type of individual - I`ll never figure it out.

I hear you on that, Scotty; the thing is I`d rather put up with the short stints these guys ultimately have on the forums than stay away from them myself. I`m here to better myself as a detailer and push for the betterment of the industry as a whole; why let an occasional idiot or two stop me from pursuing my own interests?

There are always a few goofs that literally drive away some of the good guys with their stubborn, idiotic ideas and/or attitudes. I know of more than a couple of incredible detail business people that just don`t post at all because of it. Holden was a great example of this - he was running his mouth non stop on another forum I`m a member at and I called him out months before he toasted that Lambo. I tire easily of dealing with that kind of stupidity and just really don`t want to waste energy dealing with it

Hi Jeff - I looked at your video, but the only thing I was interested in is your buffing technique. As far as your removal of overspray - it isn`t rocket science. I do it once in awhile, but would never "specialize" in it. It isn`t me. Good for you though, if that pays the bills. I hope you charge a lot of $$$$ for it.

Back to your buffing style. I believe at least one person suggested to look at your own work under halogen lights but after cleaning the paint with IPA or a "paint cleaner" product. I maybe off here, but with the way you buff, you are leaving awful buffer trails behind. Hard to see on silver color, but they are there.

Once or twice the car is washed and the oils are gone, this is most likely how your "details" look like. I personally wouldn`t be proud of it at all.

Service techs? when it comes to paint, you might as well have 2 dumbbells observing you. They are clueless.

Have a happy thanksgiving and start turning out quality work. Like Rasky1.

LMAO! Jeff it was nice of you to stop by my YouTube channel and post comments. I`ll probably leave them there so that people can look at your channel too.

I rarely do overspray jobs now days, but when I did/do do them I certainly don`t scrape the paint with a razor blade. If it works for you then have at it. As far as your polishing techniques go, well I can honestly say that was me 21 years ago working for a high volume auction. In 2005 I moved away from that type of work and focused on doing cars the correct way.

Just a little FYI JEFF...the video you commented on of mine is going to be added to Optimums official web page.

    Have a happy Thanksgiving!
