    Guys,

I just took delivery of the Dewalt 845 rotary polisher. Reading the directions I noticed the 849 has a speed limit control. The 845 does not. Checking back here I notice all you guys talk about the 849 not the 845. Is there a significant difference between the two models. Do you think I should exchange for the 849? I use a DA polisher now and this was my first foray into the rotary world.

    Thanks,

    Will.

You should change it for 849. It is variable speed and that is vey important for compounding, polishing and jeweling the paint. Few more $ you spend on it will make your life much easier in a long run.
