    Hi All,

    As I`ve stated in my newbie post I ordered a DA from the UK. Specifically a DAS-6 Pro. Now, I live in Germany and am wondering if I can just cut the end off the cord and replace it with a German plug? This plug end has a fuse in it which I have read is only needed in the UK due to their wiring.

    So, Can I just cut it off? I already have a replacement plug end. Or should I hunt an adapter down somewhere?

    I think it would be more durable with the whole end changed.

    Thanks,

    Shawn

    you`ll probably void any warranty by cutting the plug off. an adapter would be easier and less work.

    Not that it`s much hassle to cut off and replace a plug end, I took your advice about the warranty and ordered an adapter.

    Thanks,

    Your voltages are the same, so you don`t need a convertor.

    UK = 230 V (formerly 240 V in mainland Britain and 220 V in Northern Ireland)

    Germany= 230 V (formerly 220 V)

    Without having to cut your plug, purchase one of these UK to Germany adapters. They can be had on E-bay for less than $2.
