    Simple question:

Just wondering if there is a speed chart for each speed 1-6, although I know griot`s goes by opms rather than rpms.. I was unable to find this information in the manual.

Even more helpful would be if someone could advise me what speeds to use on the GG machine with both the megs microfiber cutting discs and finishing discs. Thanks for the help fellas

I saw a conversion chart somewhereoranother featuring speed recommendations for various DAs. On the GG I use 4 for D300/cutting and 3 for Finishing Wax & pads. When I have to use enough pressure to correct that the BP almost stops rotating I`ve cranked the cutting pad up to 4.5 on the GG with good results. YMMV.

Just go by the sticker on the side of your Griot`s machine. I think its like 4-5 for polishing and 2-4 for waxes/sealants IIRC. It really depends on what you`re working with. From what I`ve learned in machine polishing is that there isn`t an exact science to it, you just work gentle and work your way up until you achieve the correction you want.

Anyone have a conversion for the Flex DA? I don`t understand the sticker on the top of the machine.

I googled something like: Griots speed chart or Porter Cable dial speed chart and found one where someone had listed about every polisher and broken it down by speed/dial.

I am using the Griots for now- Flex is on the way!

Anyway, a buddy told me to take the Griots to 6 with cc and the discs. I worked on a beaten van and put it about 5.5. I put medium to a bit heavy pressure on the pads and was impressed with the results. Very clear and uniform finish.

Does anyone follow with 205? I keep going to 205 as a polish even after c.creme. It just puts another "bam" into the shine.
