I purchased the edge 2k pads and adapter for my UDM and after getting my UDM issues resolved the adapter for the edge is no going kaputsky. One of the ball bearings has fallen out. I don`t know what the warranty on the adapter is. Is this something happens often? I pretty sure I can send it back for replacement, but I don`t want the hassle of waiting for one. I have a velcro backing plate that I could use but I really liked the edge system and have a bunch of pads for it. I only have the white UDM pad for the velcro bp. Should I invest another $50 bucks for some orange and blue or black LC pads. I really don`t need to polish any of cars real soon, its just that after getting it right on my Impala, the Honda looks real lousy by comparison.

I thought I had read that the adapters don`t do so well on DA`s because of the excess vibration. But it would make one wonder why they exist then.

The adapter does have a life time warranty. So you can get it replaced no problem.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do I need to send it to Edge or to Bob at Danase where I bought it.

Who do you contact for Edge? I wrote numerous times to this site

Dedication to Detail - The Edge Buffing Pads but never get an answer. I`m only a shadetree detailer and my edge pads are splitting.

Try contacting Aaron Krause, I`d call or e-mail him:

He has always been very responsive, but I think Edge was bought out by 3M, so he might be busy with that transition.
