I find that after just one pannel that my pads get very gumed up and I have to switch. I have used a brush to clean the pad but it tends to really be hard on the pads. Any suggestions to get more use out of them per use?

I would suggest a spur like this. I normally try to use it after each application of polish.

You need a wool spur. I know...sounds rediculous that you can`t use a toothbrush, but it won`t work on wool effectively. Here is what I`m talking about:

Duo Spur Wool & Foam Pad Cleaning Tool: Scrub dirty pads clean with this multi-pupose cleaning tool!

People here talk about using it at the lowest setting, but personally find it more effective at higher settings.

EDIT: LOL just forget what I posted. +1 to the post above.

I just use a little brush I found at Advance Auto, works great.
