How many pads do you use when correcting with M105?

I`ll be ordering some up here quite soon for a detail later in the month and want to make sure I have enough PFW/Yellow/Orange pads for a pretty intensive detail on a black jetta with plenty-o-swirls. I`ll be my first time using M105 for intensive correction. I usually use 2 pads for a car when using SIP but wanted to get some input for this product.

You`ll probably need a lot if you don`t have a UPW or S2KPW. M105 typically tends to gum up pads pretty fast. I personally only use M105 with the PFW and Edge wool pads.

pc/5.5 orange pads/speed 6 = 4 pads on a lexus is 250 yesterday

pc/5.5 orange pads/speed 6 = 8 pads on a navigator

Well I have one PFW and several orange. I`m planning on using the PFW so I guess I`ll pick up some more of those (3).

I`m intrigued that you used 105 with an orange pad on a Lexus... isn`t Lexus known for having the softest paint known to man? Did you really need 105? Idk that`s why I`m asking.

I did a pretty bad black IS300 this last weekend. I used M105/white and followed that with SIP/white and it did the trick.

Speaking of LC foamed wool pads - Top of the Line had the BEST price I could find on them, check it out.

That is a great price, but it doesn`t say anything about the centering post. How important is that center post for the PFW?

i get great results with pc/105...i get about 20 seconds work time with it, about two right to left, left to right, up to down, down to up passes

this lexus was heavily swirled and water spotted. I could have taken my time and spent 8 hours on the correction part, but why? 83 only took out half the defects in twice as long as 105. I dont like to spend more time than necessary, so I take the fastest route (while still being effective and efficient).

I used 1 brand new PFW with 105 on a heavy correction of an entire vehicle. It would have been to have 1 more, but the key to keeping your pads from gumming up is continuously spurring them. I do it after every panel or multiple times on large panels. Dried product on a pad negatively affects both performance of the pad and the product you`re using. With a pad washer system, there`s really no need or reason for more than 1 pad per vehicle.
