Having both the Dewalt and the Makita... You`re going to be 10,000 happier with the Dewalt. Once I let people use both of them side by side I couldn`t give the Makita away if I tried.

eeh personal preference I guess. The only plus I would give the makita over the dewalt is the fact that the makita can go down to 600rpms where the dewalt can`t. Outside of that I find the dewalt superior in every other way. Doesn`t bog down like the makita. Isn`t flimsy like the makita. I would call the makita a very decent entry level polisher.. Maybe a step above a chicago or craftsman polisher But it`s just not made in the same league as the dewalt IMO.
