Anyone tried this combo? How close does it take the 3401 to a rotary’s cutting ability? While retaining the extra safety factor over a rotary?

I’m a newbie, looking to buy the gear to detail my car, and I thought: why not go one step further and buy enough equipment to go semi-pro at the weekends? If I did just 1 or 2 details per month, that extra cash would sure come in handy. From what I’ve been reading, a DA will take far too long for pro work. A 3401 may still take twice as long, but is much safer for newbies. So I’m wondering if you can achieve the best of both worlds with a XC3401/M105 combo (only when required on bad condition bodywork / hard paint, of course).

I am currently experimenting with M105 and my flex. So far im impressed with the results. I started a black bmw with tons of swirls today and used the flex and M105 after 1 pass a good amount of the swirls were gone but not 100%, I was overall pleased because of the quick work time of M105 compared to SIP. I followed up the M105 with 106ff and a green LC pad. I removed about 90% of the defects. The product IMO dusts a lot! Probably the only downside.
