    Hey all,

I`ve been working by hand since I began taking a serious interest in detailing and now it`s time for me to upgrade. I`ve been interested in machine work for awhile but was afraid I`d harm the car. Now I hear there are some great orbitals that won`t damage paint unless you purposely try to. What are some good ones I should look into that won`t harm my car? I`m gonna practice on the impala first obviously before I do my mustang.

    any advice is appreciated.

    thanks

I am pretty new as well and if you are able to damage a car with the porter cable 7424 i would have done that by now. So i would say thats a pretty good one and i dont see how it can really damage a car anyhow.

You really cant damage the paint using DAs. Well, unless the backplate hits the paint or something. UDM/PC/Cylcos are pretty easy to work with and will correct most paint defects. If you care about your cars apperance, you definitly need one.

I have a Ultimate detailing machine and cyclo for sale.

I know you have probably heard about all the different buffers on the market. IMO

I think the new Flex is the best buffer on the market right now. To me it tops all the others , Maikita, Dewalt, Cyclo, UDM, PC 7424, you name it. Believe the Hype about the FLEX! It`s foreal! Lance M must have bought a FLEX!

I would also agree that the flex is the best thing to hit the market in a long time.Just forget about the pc/udm cause for a few extra dollars you can get the flex and not worry about buying another machine.

You can use any of the pads that the pc/udm or rotary use.
