I need recommendations on Pads/Backing plates along with size for the PC 7424. I have Menzerna Twins , VM and RMG for a 2006 Chrysler 300c that is Brilliant Black with Metallic flakes.

I have noticed in direct sun light swirls that need to be removed. I need to puchase some pads and really don`t have a clue on what is the best out there right now. Any help on what pads/size and where to purchase them would be greatly appreciated. Once I am done I will post some pictures. Thank you very much for any input! :xyxthumbs

Is this the first time purchasing padsand backing plate?

The reason that I ask is the Edge system is an up and comer withits disconnect system and perfect centering. According to the Edge Pad website they have a wide arsenal of pads available to use.

Do not have the system myself....YET! Am considering it but it will be a while before all my pads that I have are in need of replacement. I am presently using LC pads and am happy witht he work that they do. If you are going to use a flexable backing plate many of the sponsors have plates and pads that will serve you well.

For starting out I think that the six inch pads would serve you best if you chose to not try the Edge system.

Am not suggesting that one is better than the other but merely offering a different product with which to compare.

I get all of my pads and plates from Excel, and couldn`t be happier with them.

I used the backing plate system on my rotary...

When i got my PC i switched to the Edge 2000 system.. Now I can use any size pad on either of my machines.

I have 8 inch wool and foam pads (rotary only)

I also have 6 inch wool and foam pads(PC and Rotary)

and I got Aaronn to make me a 4 inch pad when visiting the shop.. (i hope he makes these)

I love the foam and the polshing and finishing foam is the softest I have felt(i have those LC and 3-m pads to compare)

Also he is doing a waffle style pad that looks really good.

    Peace out.

I like the Edge 2000, but that`s all I have. Find what you like and use it a bunch, shouldn`t need anything to agressive from the sounds of it.

I really like Sonus Final Finish (SFX-3) for wax application, also DAS series but mostlly for polishing orange and green.

Little off topic I just got SonĂƒ¼s Enhance (SFX-2) - would it work with AIO?
